Heads up
A CPA regulatory/statutory change is coming to Oklahoma, effective 2026-11-01. Oklahoma HB4317, effective November 1, 2026, adds a bachelor's-degree-plus-experience pathway to CPA licensure (no graduate degree or 150 credit hours required) and simplifies reciprocal licensure for CPAs from substantially-equivalent states. The Oklahoma Accountancy Board is issuing emergency implementing rules ahead of the effective date since standard rulemaking can't finish in time. See the citation.

Renewal fee: $75. $75.00 registration fee for all individual certificate holders ($50 if 65+), codified at OAC 10:15-27-8(a). A CPA who also holds a Permit to practice public accounting pays an additional $125 Permit Fee (OAC 10:15-27-9(b), renewable by the individual's birth month) -- $200/year total for practicing CPAs. Firm permits are separate: 59 O.S. §15.15A(E) caps the initial-or-renewal firm permit fee at $200.00; the Board confirmed by correspondence (Lauren Norcom, Licensing Coordinator, OAB, 2026-09-15) that the currently-set firm permit fee is $125.00, renewed annually each May -- a board-set figure within the statutory cap, not itself fixed in rule. Firms (except sole proprietorships) also owe a separate, codified $75.00 Firm Registration fee per year (OAC 10:15-27-8(b)) -- the same dollar amount as the individual registration fee above but a distinct fee under a different subsection; do not assume the two are the same charge. read the rule →
CPE required: 120 hours every 3 years (4 ethics hours). Full CPE requirements →
