Terms of Service

The short version: DeadlineRadar is an informational reminder and license-tracking service. Free individual reminders stay free. Paid firm plans self-serve cancel any time — no refund for the time already paid for, but you keep full access through the end of the period you paid for. Nothing here is legal, tax, or professional advice.

1. Who we are, and what this service is

DeadlineRadar is operated by Moose & Raven LLC. We track publicly available CPA license renewal deadlines, CPE requirements, and practice-privilege (mobility) rules, and send reminder emails based on them. We are an independent service — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NASBA, the AICPA, or any state board of accountancy. Renewal dates and rules are compiled from public sources for informational purposes only; they are not legal, tax, or professional advice, and you should always confirm your exact deadline and requirements directly with your state board before relying on anything shown here.

2. Accounts

An individual reminder signup requires only an email address and state. A firm account additionally requires an admin email, and may have a password you set. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. If a firm admin adds staff to a roster, that admin is responsible for the accuracy of the license and contact information entered on that person's behalf.

3. Free tier and the firm pilot

Individual reminder signups are free, with no card required, for as long as you stay subscribed. New firm accounts start with a free 30-day pilot, also with no card required. Nothing is charged unless and until you choose to convert to a paid firm plan.

4. Paid firm plans and billing

Paid firm plans (Essentials, Professional, and Enterprise, priced by staff-count capacity — every tier has the identical feature set) are billed annually in advance through Stripe. We never see or store your card number; Stripe processes payment directly. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file for each renewal period until you cancel. An Individual plan is also available for a single CPA's own CPE tracking and Practice Privilege Check — that plan is arranged directly with us rather than through self-serve checkout; the billing and cancellation terms below apply to it too.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account's Billing tab. Cancelling stops future renewal charges but does not refund the current period — you keep full access to your plan through the end of the period you already paid for, then your account reverts to the free pilot state. You can resume a subscription you've scheduled to cancel at any point before that period ends, and billing continues normally. We do not offer partial-period or prorated refunds.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service to violate any law; attempt to access another firm's account, staff roster, or data; interfere with or disrupt the service's operation; scrape or bulk-extract data from the site beyond normal use of the tools we provide; or misrepresent your identity or authority to add staff to a firm roster. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section.

7. Practice Privilege Check and CPE tracking are informational tools, not verification

The Practice Privilege Check tool and CPE-hour tracking reflect rules we've researched and hours you or your firm self-report — they are not independently verified against your actual license status, and a "clear" result is never a substitute for confirming directly with the relevant state board of accountancy before providing services there. See each result's own disclaimer for the specifics.

8. Intellectual property

The site's design, code, and compiled datasets belong to Moose & Raven LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended purpose — tracking your own or your firm's renewal deadlines. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the service or its underlying data as your own product.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." We work to keep renewal dates, CPE requirements, and mobility rules accurate and current (see how we verify our data), but rules change, and we cannot guarantee the service is error-free or that a deadline will never change after we've verified it. We are not liable for a missed deadline, late fee, license lapse, or any other consequence of relying on information from this service instead of confirming directly with the applicable state board of accountancy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moose & Raven LLC's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time — the one-click unsubscribe link in any reminder email works instantly for individual reminders; a firm admin can cancel a paid plan from the Billing tab. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date below always reflects the current version. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
